Transformers: War for Cybertron – Steam
Setup
- Download the RAR file containing the original clean Steam files folder and extract it to any location on your disk.
- This is completely optional, but consider making an exception in your anti-virus for the RAR file and the game folder right after extracting it. Technically you don't have to do this, but oftentimes anti-virus software like Windows Defender tend to overreact to pre-installed programs and might prevent you from
launching the game. However, this is up to you. It's still possible that you can leave
your anti-virus running without making an exception and it'll work fine.
Your mileage may vary. If Windows Firewall asks you to give the game permission to use public or private networks, you can safely exit out of the pop-up and the game should still run, but if you plan on restoring multiplayer, it might be a good idea to let it access both.
- Download the crack files zip and extract the files to the following location in the game folder:
Transformers War for Cybertron/steamapps/common/Transformers War for Cybertron/Binaries - Replace any of the original files when extracting and click on the game's executable to start playing.
I've also made a video tutorial on setting up the game for more detail. If you still need more help, please use the Warehouse discord for any questions/issues you might have with setting up the game. I can't answer every question people might have in the reviews, and the folks over there know better than I do about what might've went wrong. Check out their support channel to find help.

Description
The original clean Steam files (latest version: build 21297) for the third-person shooter by High Moon Studios, set during the time when the war between the Autobots and Decepticons began on Cybertron. This is the U.S. release of the game, which was delisted back in 2017. The main RAR file contains the clean Steam files while a separate zip has the cracked files needed to run the game without Steam. Once again, a huge thanks to the Steam Underground community for this direct download.
An important thing to note is that the game still works for modern Windows but is capped at 30fps, and the Steam release never received any DLCs like the console versions did. The multiplayer servers have also been shut down ever since early 2020, but thankfully the Warehouse discord group has restored multiplayer functionality for both official and cracked versions of the game. Check out the server's guide to find out more. I've already had success in testing it out, so it should be possible for others too.
